Eligible activities
Interpretation mainly at administrative procedures, explanations, and consultations at public facilities or groups within Yokohama where “Yokohama citizen volunteer interpreter program” can’t cover
The following activities are not eligible
・Political, religious, or for-profit content
・Content related to medical treatment
・Other content that does not fit the purpose of the program
Who can apply
・(General rule) Foreign residents living, working, or studying in Yokohama
(a representative may apply on behalf of the foreign residents）
・(General rule) Non-profit group and organizations in Yokohama
・Others, as deemed appropriate by YOKE
Fee
The fee (honorarium) is decided between the requester and the volunteer.
The expected amount is generally 3,000-4,000yen each time(transportation costs included).
The requester should pay the volunteer directly on the day of the interpretation.
