KODOMONOKUNI was founded in commemoration of the Royal Marriage of Prince Akihito and Prince Michiko in 1959.

Park Hours: 9:30-16:30 (last admission at 15:30) *Closed on Wednesdays (Open when a holiday)

Admission Fee: 600 yen for adults (high school students and above), 200 yen for elementary and Jr. high school students, and 100 yen for toddlers (3yrs and up)

Come enjoy special events in winter time.

(1) Jumbo Christmas Wreath

Take some pictures in front of the huge Christmas Wreath of which diameter is 7.5 meters.

Date&Time: until Dec. 24 (Tue)

Location: Underneath the front overpass

(2) Jumbo Kagamimochi

After Christmas, come take some pictures in front of the Kagamimochi .

They are rice cakes piled one on the other in order of size, used as a New Year offering. It is 2.3 meters high!

Date&Time: Dec. 26 (Thu) to Jan. 7, 2020 (Tue)

Location: Underneath the front overpass

(3) Play Square (craft making)

Volunteers will teach you how to make a pinwheel, straw-dragonfly, and origami.

Date&Time: Dec. 7, 14, 21 (Sat): 11:00-15:00

Location: Jido Center (*Cancelled in case of rain)

(4) Treasure Box Making

There are a ton of treasures in the winter forest! Pick up your treasure such as nuts, place them in a box divided into 9 sections and make your own treasure box.

Date&Time: Dec. 21 (Sat) to Feb. 11 (holiday)

Location: Register at the front gate information desk

Fee: 200 yen (including a guided forest tour)
