Have You Submitted the 2020 Population Census Form?

This is the year of the Population Census, which is conducted every five years. The population Census is a statistical survey that is conducted according to the law and covers everyone living in Japan, regardless of nationality. You are legally required to respond. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the form will basically be put into mailboxes this year. You can answer the questionnaire either on line or by sending the form back by postal mail.

Deadline: October 7 (Wed) *If you haven’t participated by the deadline, the questionnaire form will be put in your mailbox again in Mid-October. Please send the filled out form back by postal mail if you haven’t reply by then.

Here is the site that explains the form in foreign languages and how to fill out the form. Please use it as reference. *When you send the form back, please use the original Japanese version you received.
