Public High School Enrollment Guidebook comes in 11 languages

Public high school enrollment guidebook for the Reiwa 3rd (2021) is available in English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Korean, Thai, Cambodian, Nepalese, Vietnamese, and Japanese.

The guidebook is full of information about public high school enrollment for non-native speakers of Japanese.


Please note that the “Guidance on Public High School Enrollment in Kanagawa Prefecture” will not be held this year in view of preventing COVID-19 pandemic. Those whose admission method is “Special Admission for Prefectural Foreign Residents, etc. (Zai-ken Gaikokujin tou Tokubetsu Boshu) or for Returnee (Kaigai Kikoku Seito Tokubetsu Boshu), be sure to prepare your passport(s) with entry and departure stamps. (or “entry and departure record” issued by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan under the Ministry of Justice)

Eligibility: Those who are thinking of applying for public high school in Kanagawa Prefecture from outside Kanagawa prefecture, abroad, or transferring from private school. *Those who have finished 9 years of education abroad, please attend this session.
